Sonoran Hot Dogs, Jesus and a Citizen Warrior

Jesus, dressed in a long-tattered robe, bites down on the last piece of his Sonoran Hot Dog while roaming the crowded walkways of the Tucson Festival of Books. He flips through a few pages and notices he’s having an intimate conversation with author David Collis. Meanwhile, Carter Thompson, the citizen warrior from J. Thomas Rompel’s book accidentally brushes Jesus’ shoulder. Both turn to each other. Jesus says, “Brother, follow me and I’ll show you the Father” to which Carter unflinchingly responds, “Brother, join me and we’ll fight evil together.”
